Target Audience:

It is a very extensive and necessary training also for every person professionally connected with the sea.

Course objective:

The aim of the course is to raise awareness and skills of people working in the maritime industry. Prepares participants for safe transportation at sea, from shore to ship or wind turbine and back.

Description:

Sea Survival is Module 6 in accordance with the latest GWO Basic Safety Training standard.

Sea Survival Training includes theoretical and practical knowledge of the most important elements that every person should be aware of working in the offshore industry. These include, individual rescue techniques with particular emphasis on the types of rescue measures available, both collective - such as rafts or lifeboats, and individual - overalls or lifejackets. Delegates will learn, among other things: what hypothermia or secondary drowning is and how to deal with these conditions, how to deal with emergency situations on board a ship or installation, what types of alarms we have, and what to look for during training alarms to act properly during a real emergency. In a warm, closed pool they will have the opportunity to evacuate directly from the 7m platform into the water using an evacuation device and practically practice the transition from the boat to the ladder, thus simulating the transfer of C-TV to the wind turbine.
