What security measures has Vulcan Training & Consultancy introduced?

In accordance with the guidelines of the WHO, the Chief Sanitary Inspector, the recommendations of GWO and OPITO and the recommendations of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, we have updated our security procedures and instructions. We have taken the following actions:

  • Awareness raising

The VTC team consists of qualified paramedics, health and safety specialists and a doctor. Despite the high awareness and experience of our team, we first discussed and developed instructions for daily work and conduct at VTC to ensure the highest security for both delegates and our team. In addition, before each course Instruction on moving around the Center, compliance with safety rules and participation in courses is conducted according to new guidelines introduced by VTC for Delegates and Employees.

  • Entrance to the Center

We have cut off the Center from external stakeholders. To this end, we have developed a procedure for the registration of Customers, which must be read and followed by everyone who visits the Center. The attendees enter the Center one by one, from a single entrance with an electromagnet, which can be only opened by the VTC staff. At the entrance, they disinfect hands and keep a safe distance of 1.5m as a minimum. Then temperature is measured and the medical interview is carried out by a qualified paramedic or a health and safety specialist. This data is entered into the VTC system to monitor the situation and ensure security. If, any of the points in the medical form is doubtful, the delegate is not admitted to the Center

  • Daily countermeasures

The center is fully disinfected: every day after the registration procedure, during the day and at the end of the day. Everyday instruments and equipment, direct contact surfaces and equipment intended for training are subject to disinfection. The equipment intended for training are disinfected each time after and between its use by Delegates and VTC Instructors. Delegates are required to maintain an increased level of hygiene, including frequent hand washing, and to avoid direct contact each time before, during and after the training. In addition, we monitor the situation on an ongoing basis and check the risk assessment in relation to COVID-19 to ensure that the measures we have put in place and apply are appropriate and sufficient.

  • Participation in courses

Only people who have passed the admission procedure are admitted to the training. Groups of different trainings do not have contact during the training day. Delegates can only move around the Center with an instructor. Delegates are in the training rooms with appropriate safety distances. Potentially dangerous elements have been removed from practical classes in accordance with the guidelines of the accreditation bodies such as OPITO / GWO, and a re-assessment of risk has been carried out in relation to current threats in order to increase the safety of everyone in the center.
Examples: CPR limited to compressions only, reusable gloves - none, number of delegates per training - according the standard, safety glasses - immersed in a disinfectant solution, broadly understood PPE - ozonization, exercises in liferafts - no elements that increase the risk of close contact or reduction ventilation, removing helmets from some training sessions where the risk of head trauma has been eliminated and the virus could be transmitted.

  • Meal

During courses, Delegates can enjoy lunches provided by the Vulcan Hotel Restaurant. The restaurant works and prepares meals while maintaining the highest hygiene and safety standards as well as quality dictated by HACCAP, the Chief Sanitary Inspector and WHO.

  • Equipment

Delegates' contact with documentation was kept to a minimum. We recommend scanning documents and sending them electronically to the Center. The equipment is subject to disinfection and ozonation after the use of staff and delegates.
